Proteros' FMS™ has been specifically designed to enable crystallographers to optimize diffraction patterns of macromolecular crystals. The humidity around a crystal and its actual water content can be precisely controlled and changed using the FMS™. Thereby the FMS™ can lead to dramatically improved diffraction patterns and structural data as shown in the Table.
The FMS™ is ideal for reproducible crystal optimization. It is a perfect addition to biotechnology, pharmaceutical or academic labs wishing either to increase their productivity or to rescue difficult crystal specimens.
The FMS™ was co-developed by Proteros and Prof. Dr. Robert Huber, who made the original contribution for this proprietary development.
